Product Overview

Sphere is a free texture library built from a small, mixed ensemble of sources—clarinet, guitar, strings and synths—reshaped into mood-ready pads and tonal beds. Instead of presenting each instrument as a full, separate library, the sounds are edited into focused, cinematic layers that sit comfortably as the base of a cue. The emphasis is on immediacy: you load a patch and you’re already in a usable, film-friendly space rather than building it from scratch. It’s positioned as a compact toolkit for sketching ideas quickly or dropping in a ready-made atmosphere that still feels organic and hand-made.

Details

The collection is built around five core sounds: guitar shimmers, organic growls sourced from clarinet, sine-based drift from synth, a small string ensemble texture, and a more worn, bow-driven sound that leans into grain and movement. Each patch has been edited and processed from recordings that never became full standalone instruments, then combined and treated to find combinations that feel distinctive but still playable. The focus is on long, evolving tones and blended colours rather than detailed multi-articulation performance, making Sphere well suited to pads, drones and slow harmonic movement.

The interface follows Inlet Audio’s “less is more” approach, keeping controls minimal so you spend more time writing and less time managing the engine. Under the hood, a mix of effects processing shapes each sound, but you’re presented with a clean, straightforward front end that encourages quick decisions. Created over several days in Germany by Kirsten and Thomas, the library is intended as an instant “mood maker” for film cues and atmosphere-heavy music—particularly when you want something a little left of centre without having to design it from the ground up.
